CAF TO CASH   [NETWORK PLANNING]

CAF (Customer Application Form) TO CASH
Telecommunication networks architectures are changing to meet new requirements for a
number of services/applications (Broadband, IP, Multimedia, mobile, etc.).
New generation equipment (soft switches, databases, service controllers, new protocols and
interfaces, etc.) and new call/mix traffic cases are going to be introduced in the networks.
Different solutions/network architectures can be taken into account for a smooth transition
from existing network infrastructures towards New Generation Network
(NGN) as a result of the convergence process leading to different applications/services

haring network infrastructures.

SOME SERVICES USED BY CUSTOMERS

Private telecommunications providers (Eircom BT Perlico Orange Meteor Vodafone)

How this services are provided to customer?
Which type of services customer wants?
What is the requirement of Customer about services?
How all this services can a ISP provide in a cost effective manner with a positive ROI and satisfy his customer. This Process is commonly known as CAF to CASH. This process is done before implementing of any network. This process is total in hand of sales team. Sales team make ready to customers to use their network for their use.
This process Happens in two Phases.

PHASE 1:

In phase 1, Sales team of any Telecom company did a feasibility survey to find projection for implementing any project. If they find a projection value such that, it is beneficial for business. Then they gave their projection report to their Sales Manager for approve it. If the project is approved, then it is submitted to Sales Head person. Sales Head person goes through the report again and check whether it is cost effective project or not. If He/She finds it as a cost effective project, then it is passed to CTO (Chief Technical Officer) who approve it further and gave their project to network team for further checking as purpose of Network Survey.

In Network Survey, it is checked the place where the survey is done by Sales Team. Is it possible to implement a network there?

NETWORK SURVEY AND IMPLEMENTING (OSP)

SURVEY OF EXISTING SERVICE AND PLANNED DIRECTIONAL DRILLING ROUTE

If the Network survey results in negative, then project will be closed otherwise the network implementation process goes in second phase.

Sales team again done a feasibility survey and collects the CAF from Customers. It is type of confirmation agreement from customers for the services which they use in future. This CAF is collected and submitted to Sales support. Sales support team check the CAF and started a SALES OPERATION function. If Sales Operation have positive results a Unique ID is generated for individual customers otherwise it is given back to sales team back. After generating Unique ID, the project given to Network Project Manager/Engineer for implementing the telecom network.
Network Project Manager sends his network team for implementing the network. The Network Team can use wireless or wireline or both for implementing the network. While implementing a network various process will take place such as OSP, ISP, PROVISIONING AND CONFIGURATION, TESTING, and finally the services are HANDOVER to customer hand.
Now customer will check or TEST the services and if HE/SHE is satisfied with that, BILLING is started and that will give the CASH, that is the main motive of this whole process CAF TO CASH.
